Eredivisie powerhouse Ajax have downplayed rumours that star player Luis Suarez has agreed personal terms with Chelsea and that a transfer is on the horizon.

A report earlier today suggested that the Uruguayan international had signed a pre-contract agreement to move to Chelsea.

“I just asked Luis about this and he insisted that he knows nothing about a pre-contract with Chelsea. Additionally, Ajax are not aware of anything like this,” said general director Rik van den Boog to Voetbal International.
