vice president Adriano Galliani has blamed for putting future Italian Champions League places in jeopardy after their exit from the competition.
Galliani is concerned Italy will end up losing a European place in future editions as other countries could surpass the coefficient ranking and earn a place if the Italian teams continue to fail.
“We really risk losing a fourth spot for the Champions League positions,” Galliani told the press gathered outside Linate airport as the team returned from Zurich.
“This is the reason as to why I really will be supporting Inter tonight. The loss Juve incurred against a German team is terrible in terms of the coefficient points system for Italy in the UEFA ranking.”
Inter clash with Rubin Kazan tonight at the San Siro. A loss will see Jose Mourinho’s men follow Juventus through the exit door.
